Happy 2014! And it's already the end of March.....Long Island Quilt Show Pictures

How has March 30, 2014 already come around??  I know - I've been hibernating with the harsh winter.  I like winter - happy to have as much snow as we can get!  I love going out to play in it, build a snowman....shovel (when my back isn't screaming), and then come in for a hot chocolate with mini-marshmallows.  I also like days where I can stay in my PJs and clean, sew, relax.  The winter gives me that downtime I need.  BUT, that being said, I have to go to work - and I could do without commuting in the cold and snow!  Obviously, I need a better plan.....my lottery dream hasn't yet come to fruition.

Last weekend, the Long Island Quilting Society held a Quilt Show in Garden City, NY.  So I bundled up Little Olive and we checked out many AMAZING quilts!  Little Olive took most of these pictures:

There were quilt blocks on the International Quilt:

And these three were done by "Junior Quilters"....the winning Junior Quilt was made for an American Girl doll bed....

Happy Sunday!

I cannot believe November is already here.  Halloween is now over and Thanksgiving will be rolling right into town.  We have two new quilts to show off.  Maybe one of these will be a good Christmas present for someone you know?

Today is my birthday!  :-)

It has been a great weekend and day.  And I'll get to do some sewing once the Giants add another "W" to the record.  My fingers are crossed!

Another good part?  I have a brand new, bright, colorful BEAUTIFUL quilt done!  This is with Loulouthi fabrics:

I also have two vintage blue quilts to show off:

9-22-13: New in our Shop...Vintage Chenille Quilts

Hello!  Sorry for my absence again....but I'm not too sure too many people have missed me judging by the number of "comments" I get on my posts!  ha ha ha

Wanted to show-off four newly finished vintage chenille quilts that are now listed in our shop.  These are truly a one-of-a-kind gift....maybe for that friend who decorates in shabby-chic decor?  Or something to cover your lap while on the couch?  Or a nursery?  Who would you say would be a good recipient?

And my civic-minded garbage, clearing out the stash tally update:
